In just a few steps to your individual and tailored AVGS coaching.
Step 1
Choose your coach
In the free, non-binding initial consultation with the coach of your choice, we explain the specific steps to obtain an AVGS (Activation and Placement Voucher) and are happy to assist you in applying for the voucher. You will receive all information about the course of individual coaching, and an offer tailored to your personal needs will be created for the Employment Agency or Jobcenter. 
Then, immediately after the initial consultation, the voucher is submitted to the responsible educational provider, processed, and with the approval from the office, the coaching can begin. 
Step 2
Consultation at the Employment Agency / Jobcenter
The Employment Agency/Jobcenter advises you on the conditions and requirements for coaching funding. Afterwards, you receive an Activation and Placement Voucher (AVGS). This covers the costs for professional job coaching and profiling. Further information can be found online at the Employment Agency.
Step 3
Start your career coaching
Your career coaching begins with joint planning and discussion of the coaching sessions. These take place either on-site or online – depending on what suits you best. Before we can start, we need the approval from the responsible authority. Once this is available, we support you specifically in finding your career path and getting closer to your vocation step by step.
STEP 4
Your next career step
With a clear strategy, you’re ready for a fresh professional start. Your success matters to us! After the coaching, there’s often a meeting with your contact at the Employment Agency or Jobcenter to discuss your progress and next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions
An Activation and Placement Voucher (AVGS) is a discretionary benefit provided by the Employment Agency or Jobcenter. It can be issued to:
- Individuals receiving unemployment benefits (ALG I) or Bürgergeld
- Registered job seekers who are not currently receiving benefits
- Job-seeking students and trainees
- Employees in transfer or restructuring companies
- Soldiers transitioning out of military service
- People returning to work after a long break or illness
- Self-employed individuals still receiving partial support from the Jobcenter
You must apply for the AVGS at the Employment Agency or Jobcenter in your place of residence.
There is no legal entitlement to an AVGS. Approval is at the discretion of your job placement officer.
Prepare strong arguments for why coaching would be beneficial to you and share them with your employment advisor. You’re also welcome to work out concrete goals and arguments with your chosen coach in advance. This can help you enter the conversation with your advisor feeling confident and well-prepared.
AVGS coaching is an official program aimed at activating and reintegrating individuals into the job market. It supports you in your job search, returning to employment, or starting a business.
With your AVGS voucher, you’re entitled to individual, customized coaching at no cost to you.

The AVGS and the entire coaching process are completely free for you! The costs are 100% covered by the Federal Employment Agency or the Jobcenter through the AVGS voucher.
The scope of the coaching depends on your individual needs and the approval from the Employment Agency or Jobcenter.
In an initial consultation, we can assess your needs together and tailor the coaching accordingly.
- If you need a quick start: 2–4 weeks with a minimum of 20 units.
- If you have more topics to address and want to take your time: up to 6 months and 100 units are possible.
You get to choose which coach you’d like to work with. You can browse through our coach profiles or contact us – we’ll help you find a great match in a phone consultation. During a free initial consultation, you’ll have the chance to meet your coach, get to know each other, and see if it feels like a good fit for joint coaching.
The initial meeting gives you the opportunity to discuss your challenges, goals, and expectations. This conversation is confidential and non-binding, ensuring that you receive the right support.
The consultation can take place over the phone or online (e.g., via Zoom).
For in-person coaching, we also offer face-to-face introductions at our location.

They also attend regular professional development to stay up to date with the latest methods and tools.
All our coaches work systemically, holistically, and above all, solution- and resource-oriented.
Your coaching start date depends mainly on whether you already have an AVGS voucher or still need to apply. We also need to check your chosen coach’s availability. Keep in mind the administrative process may take time.
Generally, you can expect a minimum of 2 weeks before starting. In some cases, it may take up to 4–5 weeks. But we’ll do our best to get you started as soon as possible.
Our coaches offer flexible formats, including online, hybrid, and in-person options depending on your needs.
Some coaches prefer face-to-face sessions, while others specialize in virtual coaching. You’re free to choose the option that suits you best – or even mix both, depending on what works for you.
Our coaches come from diverse backgrounds such as education, psychology, business consulting, and pastoral care. Some have extensive experience in corporate environments, while others bring deep personal-development insights.
In a non-binding initial consultation, we’ll help you figure out which coach fits you best. You can ask questions and see if the chemistry is right.
